NC DMV New Hours

The N.C. DMV is extending its Saturday walk-in service hours to 20 locations starting this weekend.

This weekend marks the return of the N.C. DMV's Saturday walk-in service hours. This year, the division is increasing its reach from 16 to 20 offices, providing services from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on 11 Saturdays between May 31 and August 23 (note that offices will be closed on June 28 and July 5), according to a release.

During these Saturday hours, customers can access services such as obtaining driver licenses or ID cards, renewing or ordering duplicates, changing addresses, issuing REAL IDs, and taking road tests for those who have already passed the knowledge and written tests, as stated in the release.

Walk-in services will be provided at the following driver license offices (no appointment necessary):
