Mass shooting at South Carolina Bar

Tragically, four individuals lost their lives and over 20 others sustained injuries early Sunday during a mass shooting at a bustling bar on St. Helena Island, South Carolina, as reported by the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to Willie’s Bar and Grill following reports of gunfire in the early hours of Sunday. Upon their arrival, they discovered multiple individuals with gunshot wounds both inside and outside the venue.

Four victims were declared dead at the scene, while at least 20 others were transported to local hospitals, with four of them in critical condition.

Authorities have yet to disclose the identities of the victims or any details regarding a potential suspect. The sheriff’s office indicated that detectives are currently interviewing witnesses and examining evidence from the scene as the investigation progresses.

St. Helena Island, situated near Beaufort along the southern coast of South Carolina, is celebrated for its picturesque beaches and rich Gullah Geechee cultural heritage.
